Category 2a: Best Mobile Enterprise Product or Service
About this category:
Mobile services and devices for business are an indispensable productivity
tool. The Best Mobile Enterprise Product or Service award will be presented
to the company judged to have introduced the best product or service that
has, quite literally, helped corporate or enterprise mobile users in 2007
to work smarter and "do business better".
Eligibility:
This category is open to companies and organisations that develop or deliver
mobile enterprise products and services. These may include:
- Network Operators
- Application developers
- Vendors
- Content providers
- System integrators
- Corporate content providers and portal developers
Judging criteria
Entries can only be submitted for products that are commercially available.
The product or service entered must have been launched after December 1st
2006 or will be launched before November 30th 2007.
Entries for Category 2a, Best Enterprise product or Service will be judged
on the following main criteria:
- How does this product or service help improve business productivity - easier
access to critical information fro people on the move, enhanced customer
service response times etc.?
- How easy is it to use?
- What return on their investment have customers typically enjoyed from
this product or service - helping to overcome real business issues?
In addition, the judges will take into consideration the following factors:
- Benefits to users
- Ease of implementation
- International applicability
- Value for money
- Portal provisioning providers
- Evidence of customer satisfaction e.g. testimonials
Entries:
In order to ensure a consistent approach for our judges, entries must
be submitted using the Best Enterprise Product or Service Category entry
form . Entries not using
the web based entry form will not be considered. All entries must be submitted
by November 30th 2007.
Specific Entry Form Questions for this category:
On the entry form, in addition to submitting contact and company information,
you will be asked to answer the following questions (maximum text/character
length for your answers also shown in brackets below):
- What is the name of the product or service?
- How does your product or service help people do business better? (1000
characters = approx 170 words)
- What features make your product or service easy to use? (1000 characters
= approx 170 words)
- Describe the typical Return on Investment benefits for customers? Please
highlight in particular financial benefits (if available) as well as
operational benefits. (1000 characters = approx 170 words)
- Entries for this award category must be commercially available. Please
provide evidence to support this such as launch date of product or service,
regions covered and which operators offer your product or service. (500
characters = approx 80 words)
- Optional section: Please give any customer testimonials to support
your entry including the name of the customer and their company name.

Category 2b: Best Mobile Messaging Service
About this category:
Pictures, emails and instant messaging are all part of an ever growing
range of text, voice and data mobile messaging services that all enhance
the communications experience of mobile users.
The Best Mobile Messaging Award will highlight the very best of business
and consumer messaging services, however and wherever they are delivered.
Entries to this category can include all messaging formats over mobile
devices, including new services such as Instant Messaging, MMS for picture
messaging and downloads, as well as innovative uses of all other services
i.e. SMS, e-mail, Push to Talk, text to speech or voicemail.
Eligibility:
The category is open to companies and organisations that develop, innovate
or deliver mobile messaging products, applications or services. These include:
- Network Operators
- Application Developers
- Message solution providers
- Content providers and aggregators
- Companies that have developed suitable messaging products, services
or initiatives
Judging criteria:
Entries can only be submitted for products that are commercially available.
The product or service entered must have been launched after December 1st
2006 or will be launched before November 30th 2007.
The judges will be looking for answers to the question, "How does this
product, application or service give users a better messaging experience?" They
will be looking particularly at the following:
- First and foremost, what degree of interoperability between devices & between
networks is demonstrated by this product or service?
- In what ways does this product or service offer enhanced revenue opportunities
for Operators?
- How easy is this product or service to use?
In addition, the judges will take into consideration the following factors:
- Benefits to users
- Ease of implementation
- International applicability
- Value for money
- Portal provisioning providers
- Evidence of customer satisfaction e.g. testimonials
