The Best Mobile Game category recognises the most innovative, compelling and creative 'published' mobile game available on the market today.
From single player and connected games to location based, casual, educational, 3D and games using the camera, motion sensors, GPS enabled or other features, the awards judges will be looking for a breakthrough in technology and the creation of a new level of mobile gaming experience for gamers on mobile phones.
The judges will shortlist four to six entries in this category, with one winner announced at the world’s leading mobile communications event, the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on Tuesday 16th February 2010.
Please note: On-line or Mobile Games which have strong social networking elements included such as Blogs, Chat, media file Sharing/ Uploads, mail etc should strongly consider entering Category 3b Best Mobile Internet Service, which includes mobile social networking services.
The Best Mobile Game category is open to companies and organisations that develop, publish or deliver Mobile Games. Eligible companies include:
Mobile games entered should be commercially available, and must have been launched prior to the closing deadline of the awards Monday 23rd November 2009 (5pm GMT). The mobile game must have been available in at least one country/ market. Please provide evidence to support this such as launch date of the game, including details of countries or regions where the game is available, together with reviews if possible, and statistical evidence of market success or take up.
Entries for the Best Mobile Game will be judged on the following main criteria:
All entries must be submitted by Monday 23rd November 2009 (5pm GMT).
In order to ensure a consistent approach for our judges, entries must be submitted using the Category 1a) Best Mobile Game entry form . Entries not using the web based entry form will not be considered. In addition to completing the online entry form, it is strongly recommended that entrants submit a demonstration of the entry so that our judges can see and play with it.
